Suggest Treatment For Delayed Menstruation With Abdominal And Lower Back Pain

Question: Last year I had an ovary and Fallopian tube removed due to a complex cyst the size of a softball.

I am 43 yrs old and am now missing periods. Just this last month I have been having a lot of clear, eggwhite-like discharge and the last 2 days there has been pink in it. I still haven't gotten my period (2 months now) and I am having abdominal pain and lower back pain.

I can only get in to see my gyn Dr. in a month. Should I go to my primary care Dr. in the meantime? The pain is a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10 and has been so for a week.

Thanks!

Thank you for your answer.

Can you tell me what you think the problem might be? Another ovarian cyst on the remaining ovary? Perimenopause due to having only one ovary and in my 40s?

I am concerned because of the pain and pink blood in the clear discharge. I don't know if this is something to worry about or not.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to ovarian cyst.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The pain can be due to another ovarian cyst. Since your periods are overdue, chances of having a cyst in the ovary are there.
The pain can be related to gut issues like infection or colic. Perimenopause does not cause such a pain. Detailed investigations and ultrasound scan are needed to find out the cause.
In case the pain is persistent then do attend an ER for immediate evaluation.
Hope my answer is helpful.
