Brief Answer:
CBT can be an option

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
HRT has become less popular these days in the wake of recent reports of increased chances of cancer among the patients who had opted for HRT for menopause. However antidepressants are still a good option for these symptoms. I would suggest you go for escitalopram. However if you are averse to taking these medications then there is an option of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This therapy is taken by either a psychologist or a psychiatrist in which the therapist identifies impaired cognitions (Thoughts) and try to correct them. They are 15-20 min weekly session and there should be around 8-10 sessions to help you with your illness.Along with CBT and behaviour activation, things can improve with time.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

Brief Answer:
Its an antidepressant

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Escitalopram is one of the newer antidepressant belonging to the class of SSRI. (Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor). This increases the levels of serotonin in the neuron connections which will ultimately help in improving your menopausal symptoms.
Hope this helps.
