Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

There are several categories of anti-depressant medication that are used to treat major depression. The most commonly used class of antidepressants is SSRIs like Citalopram, Escitalopram, Sertaline, Fluoxetine, Fluvoxamine, Paroxetine, etc. There are also several other antidepressants belonging to different classes like Venlafaxine, Desvenlafaxine, Mirtazapine, Bupropion, etc. The older anti-depressants, also called tricyclic antidepressants or TCAs are used less frequently. Examples are Amitriptyline, Imipramine, Nortryptilline, Clomipramine, etc.

There are no injectable anti-depressants available for use.

I hope this information has been useful to you.

Wish you all the best.
