Suggest Treatment For Diaper Rash And Skin Allergy

Question: 15 month old son has a diaper rash, but nothing is working to get rid of it. Wondering if it is a yeast infection, but then last night and all day today, he has a fine, non-raised, red rash starting at his legs, and now growing up his stomach and arms, to his neck. I have no idea what this might be. He also is hoarse, which started yesterday as well, carrying in to today. Nothing in his routine has changed, nor has anything traumatic happened. Seems odd. He is not sleeping well through the night right now, the last 3 nights, but he usually sleeps through the night, usually 12 hours. It's the weekend, and I'm worried about taking him in somewhere if it's nothing serious.

You need not worry. This seems like a trivial urticaria or skin allergy which is spreading.

As of now you can apply any calamine lotion if you have one in hand.

If you have any over the counter antiallergics licensed for use in this age group in your country, you can administer it in the dose suggested on the pack.

This is not serious. You need not panic.
