HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Black stools are sometimes indicative of blood in the stool.

Bloody diarrhea can occur with severe gastrointestinal infections, diverticular disease of the colon, inflammatory bowel disease (crohns or ulcerative colitis) or more serious bowel conditions.

Infections are the more common cause.

If you feel very unwell then you should be seen by a doctor if this is not the case then you can do the following

Treatment: (1) you should consider holding off solid food at the moment because the lining of the bowel is not able to absorb food and when taken, would provoke diarrhea in most cases

In some persons delay healing because the bowel does not get a chance to rest and heal.

Fluids should be used, to replace the fluids loss in the stool. Oral rehydration solutions or sport drinks with electrolytes should be used eg gatorade

Fluids are very important, your body can go without food for a short while but not fluids.

When there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms, small amounts of dry solid food should be restarted

(2)probiotics- either in the form of yogurt with probiotics or plain probiotics would help to repair the intestines and shorten the course of diarrhea

(3)can continue the peptobismol , consider lomotil if there is no improvement

If there is no improvement or worsening of symptoms then you may need to see your doctor for examination of your abdomen, stool sample to the lab.
Imaging may or may not be needed

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
