Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Vomiting And Abdominal Cramps

Question: Is Librax similar to the drug Librium? If yes, does that mean that Librax is a benzo and therefore a controlled substance just like Xanax, Ativan, Valium, etc.? I've been taking it for a few days now because I have a bad case of gastroenteritis, (that's the assumption) vomiting and diarrhea and because I have an Ileostomy, I am easily susceptible to become dehydrated. (But I've been drinking lots of Pedialite to prevent that) I find Librax alleviates some of the stomach cramps but I also noticed that I'm sleeping a lot more than usual. I can be talking to someone and in mid sentence I simply fall asleep. Is there a correlation between my taking Librax and that kind of fatigue?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Librax contains two medians and one of them is librium or chlordiazepoxide. Since the benzodiazepines are considered under banned substances and can be procured only with the prescription.

The libra is used for the treatment of irritable bowels syndrome and few other inflammatory disorders and they may present with altered bowel habits and vomiting.

It can be said that there is clear correlation between falling asleep and use of Librax.

I hope this answers you.
