Suggest Treatment For Discoloration Above Ankle
Question: Went to bed on Sunday and woke up Monday with major discoloration just above my ankle. Thoughts on what might be the cause of this?

You submitted a picture of your leg after waking yesterday. The quality of the picture is not good so it is hard to tell what it is. My first thought is this could be early cellulitis. If the area is red and hot then this is early infection. I recommend you be seen by your medical provider and get started on antibiotics.
If this looks blue it maybe just a bruise. If you have had any trauma to your leg in the past week then this is just collection of blood. This is commonly seen as gravity will pull a bruise from an area of trauma higher up the leg and manifest it self lower down the leg. This is self limiting and does not require any treatment
