Brief Answer:
minimum 6weeks immobilization
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Since you are a diabetic, there should be periodical blood sugar test and controlled to prevent delay in healing.
Do not move the shoulder and use a broad arm collar sling for six weeks. Take anti-inflammatory like advil three times for 7 days.
Do only wrist and finger exercises
Get a check x ray done after 3 weeks to see if joint has not slipped
Keep blood pressure controlled with your regular meds.
Let me know if you need any more help.

Brief Answer:
review of anti diabetics,systemic assessment,modif
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have studied the anti-hypertensives and nitroglycerine tabs you are taking besides pioglitazone and metformin, which are for diabetes..You have not mentioned doses for anti-diabetics .
I may suggest you to consult your physician who prescribed these medicines for modification of doses if necessary, generally diet control and exercise, walking etc are also advised and a rough estimate of calories for the type of your activity is determined and one has to follow the diet as advocated with some form of additional physical work outs.Since you take anti-hypertensives,anti-angina meds. your heart status may be known to your prescribing physician and may have advised physical activity precautions as well. You take crestor also for hyperlipedemia. This means your serum lipids, creatinine,NA, K, levels, Urine test must be periodically checked apart from blood sugar
So, you may get back to treating physician for simultaneous assessment of all these parameters for a comprehensive health status and change/or modifications of drugs as per findings
