Suggest Some Exercise To Reduce Weight And Sugar Levels

I am 44 year old male with slightly obese structure. I have been diabetic for last 12 years, I started with metformin and then shifted pioglitazone briefly. My doctor prescribed lantus about 2 years back. I was taking 10 units per day until 6 months, then my blood sugar started shooting up again. I have been asked to increase lantus dosage to 24 units and also asked to start the Victoza 1.8 mg. I was also taking 4 tablets of gluored forte. I used it for three months along with Lantus. My HbA1C is 6.5 now. Fasting levels are always less than 100, but my problem is post prandial levels that were always greater than 200 and vary between 200-260. I do not go for regular exercise and have a very sedentary life style. Now i have been asked to take Glycomet GP3 and voglibose (thrice a day along with my meal). I feel as if I am going down the hill and request you to suggest what else I can do apart from regular exercise.

Hi dear, there is no option called 'no exercise' if you are a Diabetic. Diet and exercise are the keystones of management. For you--Metformin up to 3000 mg, voglibose three times a day would be ideal. You can add Vildagliptin, SGL2 inhibitors--all these will keep your Diabetes and weight under control--regards
