Suggest Treatment For Dry Eyes And Mouth After A Journey

Question : The past two weeks I have be drinking allot of fluids, water mostly, and urinating allot, every 20-30 minutes, its usually clear but foamy. I also have had problems with my contacts, sever dry eye but no change in vision conditions. I see that Sjogren's Syndrome Dry mouth, dry eyes syndrome matches my symptoms, What do you think?

Tired allot, sleepy, no energy

History:
Just got back from extended stay in Jamaica, 14 months.

Well dry eyes and dry mouth can be due to a lot of reasons. you are right in saying sjogrens syndrome can be one of the causes. there are a few other causes like sarcodiosis, igg4 related disease..

How to approach it?

I would suggest you get a few blood test done

1. cbc
2. esr
3. ana
4. ENA profile
5. chest x ray
6. schirmmer test

These will give us a fair idea on what could be the diagnosis. If needed, we can later plan a lip biopsy if nothing comes positive and you still have symptoms

Well I am not sure about the doctors at your place but you need an appointment with a rheumatologist. I am not sure if you will get an early. appointment with a specialist but time it a try. Incase it is getting delayed you can get t the blood tests I have advised you. We need to have a diagnosis before starting any treatment
