Suggest Treatment For Dry Socket
Question: Hi I had my wisdom tooth on the lower right side extracted on Wednesday unfortunately I had dry socket by Thursday.. Thursday morning I returned to my dentist who packed it for me and it started feeling better. Being very paranoid about again getting dry socket up until this morning (Saturday) every time I are, drank or smoked I put a gause in, I spoke to my dentist this morning and they said after now I was free to start getting on with things as normal just taking care not to touch the extraction site.. Tonight when rinsing with salt water I think the corner of the clot has come out but not the entire thing am I going to get dry socket again or is it normal after a certain amount of time this naturally comes away? Thank you
Brief Answer:
Normal for the clot to dislodge
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
All clots dislodge after a while, especially when the underneath tissue starts healing. Do not worry about it. Dry sockets get better in a week's time. Continue to rinse your mouth with salt and water , avoid eating hard food items and also avoid smoking until it's better
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
