Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Ibuprofen is a NSAID which can have side effects like gastric upset and risk of kidney damage. This occurs if you take continuously more than 1 week. So better to avoid it more than 1 week. If you still have pain any possibility of infection or abscess should be ruled out by consulting your dentist again. For pain relief you can use narcotic pain relievers like tramadol Instead of NSAID if you want to take for longer duration.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
