Suggest Treatment For Dull Achy Pain In The Stomach
May not be serious, better to get clinical evaluation and treated
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Pain in lower right abdomen can be a serious thing and needs to be investigated.
This is so, because many times feeling that the pain will pass off makes the disease to progress and can lead to a serious thing later. Secondly many of the diseases start as mild form only.
Pain in abdomen , rather anywhere in the body is not normal at all.
And Particularly having pain in the right lower abdomen needs medical attention.
I would advise you the following:
-Getting clinical evaluation and physical examination by a Doctor. This helps to have a detailed history to be correlated to the findings and the reports of the investigations if done.
- A course of proper medications as per the clinical judgment, this can be a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole, probiotic and symptomatic medicines if the probable diagnosis is typhlitis (colitis) as being the commonest cause.
- Investigations of the blood, urine, stool and ultrasonography help to get or rule out a further diagnosis like: appendicitis, ovarian cyst, PID, right ureteric problems, Salpingitis and so on.
- Further treatment can be planned accordingly.
- If something serious is felt by your Doctor, He would advise you further special investigations of blood, CT scan ans so on to get an early and proper diagnosis so that a proper treatment can be planned.
This is a step by step approach in a hope not to miss anything. Usually the cause can be not so serious but this allows you to get the earliest diagnosis and proper curative treatment.
I hope this answer your query.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
