Question: duodenal nodule-well differentiated neuroendrocrine tumor (CARCINOID TUMOR).the man is 51 year old ,what treatment should he undergo.

If the duodenal carcinoid tumour has not spread to liver then it can be cured by surgery.
I would advise you to do a CT scan of whole abdomen.
If the disease has spread in the liver in CT scan then i would advise octreotide injections which can be given subcutaneously with your doctors advise to keep the disease under control.

the report is as follows- Specimen-Duodenal nodule, Macroscopic examination-Received 3 grayish white bits of tissue,largest measuring 0.4*0.3*0.2cm smallest 0.2*0.1*0.1 cm. Microscopic examination-Section shows duodenal mucosa with unremarkable surface epithelium.Submucosa shows nests of small round cells with monomorphic nuclie,granular chromatinand moderate cytoplasm.Brunners glandhyperplasia of normal cellular morphology noted IHC advised.
