Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Children suffer from viral respiratory infections and some children are more prone to catching cold. It seems that your child is one of them. Montek-LC can is a very commonly used medicine and does not usually cause side effects. It can be given off and on as required. Also be sure to give her steam inhalation regularly. Give her colourful fruits and vegetables to eat in order to boost her immunity.

Brief Answer:
This medicine is better than its peers.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I do not think that there is any justification to move to some other medicine. Montek LC contains two components - monteleukast, a mast cell stabilizer, and levocetirizine, an antiallergic. The two have a synergistic effect in reducing allergy. Alternatives like cetirizine may be slightly less effective but with more side effect (sleepiness).
