Suggest Treatment For Elbow Bursitis

Question: I have swelling at my elbow, about the size of a golf ball. It is fluid, soft, and not painful. The swelling started about three days ago. I have recently recovered from severe sepsis, and I continue with oral antibiotics. Is there any treatment you can suggest to,reduce the swelling? Should I be concerned about the swelling ?

Elbow bursitis.

Detailed Answer:
The condition you have is called elbow bursitis. Its nothing more than an inflammation of the elbow area.
The main treatment of this condition is fluid drainage, lukewarm compresses and anti inflammatory medicines. As you have some sepsis history, the fluid should be tested to rule out possible infection.
If the drainage wont help, the next step is steroid injection to this area. I suggest you to consult general surgeon as it wont go away by its own.
