Hello dear,
The case history as mentioned in your post suggest that there is persistence of
soft tissue injury in the elbow joint which is causing recurrent pain on
stress.
Though temporary relief may be obtained by taking NSAIDs, the cause of pain has to be treated to prevent recurrence.
Whether it is an inflammation of bursa (
elbow bursitis) or tendon (triceps
tendonitis) can be diagnosed only by a proper physical examination & investigations like MRI of the elbow joint.
Sometimes X ray is not able to pick up the soft tissue injury, however the swelling indicates presence of inflammatory process.
Management usually involves:
1. Rest to the part & avoidance of stress.
2. Heat therapy
3. NSAID
4.
Physiotherapy & exercises.
So, kindly consult an Orthopedician & get a proper physical examination done.
