Brief Answer:
Depends on total clinical picture...

Detailed Answer:
Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

EKG / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. Progression of disease in the native vessel or graft is a prime consideration…
Aim for rhythm control / If not feasible, we go for rate control – there are several factors that influence the decision - Cardioversion is attempted initially in some / Anti arrhythmic drugs are started in some / Some may need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS)
Irregularity at atrium (upper chamber) leads to stagnation of blood movement in the heart, leading to clot formation. The trouble is dislodgement of the clot lodging elsewhere (Embolism – leading to stroke etc.) – which is more of a problem, than the arrhythmias itself. One needs anticoagulation
The treating doctor alone can suggest further depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
