Brief Answer:
Gurgling with lukewarm water should provide relief.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone very carefully though the entire query and understand your concerns. Examining you clinically was essential but is unfortunately beyond scope. Adenoids are lymphoid organs in our throat that get enlarged from time to time, more often when we catch a cold or get a sore throat. Right now you have such a condition. It might take some time for the adenoids to regress in size.

Acid reflux from the stomach may often cause throat problems. In such a case omeprazole would prove helpful. Sore throat or pharyngitis can be of viral or bacterial cause. But even if caused by bacteria it does not essentially need to be treated with antibiotics and irrespective of the use of antibiotics, it would take the same time to resolve. The mainstay of treatment is gurgling with lukewarm water.

I cannot comment on the difficulty in breathing that you are facing. Clincial examination is required for the same. But had the adenoid enlargement been severe enough to obstruct the respiratory tract, your ENT doctor would have mentioned. Since that is not the case, you need not worry further about the adenoids.

Let me know if I could help further.

hi
thank you for the reply.
Please see the attached images. xray of soft tissue and photos of throat.

at present I don't have cold or fever. and the pain on back of neck which is notices after waking up. its like numbness with pain. left side of neck to the top of head.

breathing trouble means taking long breath almost every 10 minutes

does acid reflux cause throat problems and tonsil issues?
does it make ear pain.
Some morning I feel like pressure in the left eye.
I really don't have heart burn.
only burping frequently. ill burp even after a glass of water.
and I can feel it hitting up the throat. but not coming upto mouth.
All I feel only on left side

Brief Answer:
Gurgle with lukewarm water. Take steam inhalation. Take omeprazole.

Thanks for writing back. I waited but till now do not see any image attached. I would request you to reattach it using the facility on the upper right of this page.

What you have described, does not count as respiratory distress. Relax about it.

The pressure like sensation in your left eye could be due to cold. Hard to comment without examining.

Burping can be a sign of acid relux or could occur as you ingest air along with food. Burping expels this extra air. The hitting up the throat could also be a sign of reflux even though you do not feel or taste the acid in your mouth. However, you need not get concerned. Take small but frequent meals and you would be fine. Acid reflux could affect the throat and tonsils but the tonsils getting enlarged due to cold is more likely. Earpain can occur due to both cold as well as due to acid reflux.

Brief Answer:
Checked the attachments

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for providing the attachments. I have checked the X ray as well as the inside of the throat. The difference in size of the tonsils does not seem significant and is not a cause for concern. They are not significantly enlarged or inflamed. So, your doctor's suspicion of acid reflux makes sense. But I did not find your overall oral hygiene very good and you should work on with. Brush twice a day using proper technique i.e. by using strokes from the base of the teeth, moving outwards (google search will help).

Gurgling with lukewarm water should still be helpful.

Let me know if I could help further.
