Primary headache likely stress headache. Please tell the following details.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
If you would have presented to me as an outpatient with this medical history,I would have told you that this appears to be a primary headache most likely stress headache. However,I would have asked you a few questions in order to answer your query better-
1)What is the duration in hours for which each episode of headache lasts?
2)Is it associated with nausea?
3)Any vision abnormalities during the headache?
4)Does the headache increases on exposure to light or sound?
5)Is the headache throbbing or pulse like?(You can feel your pulse,it comes and goes almost every second-Is your headache similar, comes and goes every moment or in other words,Is it a 'throbbing' headache?)
I have asked these questions in order to rule out 'Migraine' which can be the alternative diagnosis here.If answers to above questions is Yes,It will go in favour of migraine headache.
At present, there is no need for any specific investigation like computerised tomographic(CT) scan or Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) of brain.
Regarding management-
Lifestyle and occupational changes to relieve your stress.
Mental relaxation exercises/Yoga/Pranayama regularly to ease off stress.
Mild analgesics like paracetamol 500 mg at the time of headache may be taken.
PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have some follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer else, please close the thread-rate it and write a review.Your rating will be of help to me.
