Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction In An Elderly Person

Question: I am taking lisinopril, sotolol, eliquis after ablation for a-fib for more than a year. I have no problem that I can tell except that lately I am unable to attain erection or maintain an erection. I am 73 years old and in good shape. Is my problem possibly related to my medication?
Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that among your medications, Sotalol may be accused in around 2% of patients to cause erectile dysfunction.
Lisinopril is almost safe, while Eliquis doesn't demonstrate such a risk at all.
I recommend discussing with your prescribing physician about this concern, and if necessary to balance the benefit/risks ratio in order to decide whether to continue the actual drugs combination or choose another alternative.
In case of further uncertainties, feel free to ask me again!
Wishing all the best for this New Year,
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
