Question: My daughter is 31. Having fatigue, cold all the time, doctor told her at last appointment thyroid enlarged on the right and ordered labs. she is depressed and moody, feels forgetful and like she is in a fog all the time, fingers are numb, hair is falling out. Having body aches. Went in today for results, tsh 2.787. Dr just kind of blew her off and told her she's fine, but she is not fine. What should we do. There were no other thyroid tests run.

Brief Answer:
Free T4 and Thyroid ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concern.
Apart from TSH it would be better to know the "Free T4" as well. If the thyroid is enlarged an ultraound scan of the thyroid also should be done. She should also try to get a Vitamin D and CBC ( complete blood count) to look for other causes of her symptoms.

Binu
