Suggest Treatment For Fatigue, Occasional Sinus Discomfort And Pressure
But my question is why do I experience them now more frequently just when the weather
becomes cloudy. Even overall fatigue or discomfort which does not exist when the weather is actually with rain or snow??. I know if is sometimes referred to as barometric headache. Is there a way of dealing with this proactively? Thank you.
This could be chronic sinusitis following exposure to cloudy weather
Detailed Answer:
Hello Greetings
Barometric headache develops due to change in weather conditions or altitude.
If you are to much sensitive to the environmental changes thano there are chances that you may get headache
Your clinical picture is somewhat different
In my opinion you might be having chronic sinusitis due to exposure to clouy environment
I would like further information to help you better
Site of pain( is it over sinuses or generalised headache)
Do you have running nose, sneezing and thick nasal discharge during or after an attack
You need not to worry, you should visit an ENT specialist as per your convenience for examination and a battery of tests like blood work up and an X ray PNS ( paranasal sinuses)
If it is a chronic problem than it can be corrected with FESS( functional endoscopic sinus surgery)
Proactive measures
Steam inhalation and deep breathing exercises
Cover your nose and face during such an environment
Stay indoor during cloudy weather
multivitamin and vitamin C supplements
Hope this answers your question
follow up questions are most welcome
wish you good health
Could be chronic sinusitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your reply
This could be a sinus problem like chronic sinusitis.
Blood vessels physiologically get narrowed due to cold temperature. My theory is that cold and cloudy weather induces narrowing and congestion which in turn blocks sinus opening leading to pain. Though things are not clear, I believe you should consult an ENT specialist while in pain. X-ray PNS can verify the problem. Surgery may be needed for correction.
