Question: What is fatty liver disease? How or what is the treatment for it?

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Fatty liver disease occurs due to any sort of insult to the liver. Its usually first sign that due to some cause the liver is reacting. If the cause is withdrawn, the liver can go back to its normal shape and size and texture. Fatty liver is reversible if the causative factor is removed.
Now the most common causes for this are-
1. Alcohol
2. Drugs induced like painkillers (NSAIDS)
3. Autoimmune diseases
4. Even high fat content in blood / hypercholestrolemia.
Above are the most common reasons given, there are certain other rare causes but anything from above should be ruled out first.
So if there is any cause among above list mentiomed?
