Suggest Treatment For Fever Along With Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

Question: Question for Dr Ratnesh Pandey- Unfortunately my 19 month old daughter has again fallen ill. This time she has mild fever but cough congestion in her throat with occasional running nose. Fever is since last night. She was fine during the day but has fever again now. I have been giving BELLADONA 30 since last night around 4-5 times. and Euphresia 30 once. Please advise.

I am suggesting some medicine you can start with that and she will be fine
1 R1 10 drop with half cup of water 2 hourly.
2 Dulcamara 30 4 pills thrice in a day
3 Antim Tart 30 4 pills twice in day (in case of rattling sound in the throat)

If her nose is blocked then give her Agraphis Nutans 30 6 pills twice in day other wise no need to give

No need to give belladonna and euphresia. Homeopathy has peculiar medicine for each case medicine may change accordingly.
Please follow the treatment for 7 days

That is absolutely fine. You can give her medicine mixed with spoon full water. Make sure she is comfortable.
Medicine is in concentrated form and water is mixed to dilute the medicine so that it can be easily taken.

Dear Dr, since the congestion seemed more, we took her to the local pediatrician and he said that there is a bit of congestion. So he prescribed amoxycillin suspension (antibiotic) & Broxum syrup. She has a programme to participate in so don't want her to suffer too long. Please advise if the prescribed homeo medicines can be given along with these medicines. I have already started giving her R1 though.

You can give her prescribed Antibiotic Suspension by your Pediatrician for quick relief.
There is no big issue in giving that. Homeopathic medicine may take little more time in comparison to allopathic medicine for relief But suggest you to continue the Homoeopathic medicine after three days of course of antibiotic ( or course prescribed by doctor)
This will help her to treat completely.
She is catching cold easily again and again you have to take great precaution to avoid cold. Repeated exposure may lead to weak immunity.

Yes I see your point. She goes to daycare and playschool. So probably she is getting cross infected from other kids. We are also giving her Ayurvedic immunity supplements like ExtraImmune by Charak and Septilin by Himalaya. And working to strengthen her nutrition as well. Let's see.
