
Suggest Treatment For Fever And Continuous Sneezing In A Child

I have my 3 year old daughter who has been sneezing continously. This is happened a week ago. I gave her relent syrup which controlled her cold and then I gave her Cheston x which did subside her cough. She got fever one day and when I gave her crocin, fever stopped. It has been more than a week now and her cough is not subsiding at all. I gave her nebusiler repsules as well. Still no improvement to her cough and cold. She weighs 15 .7 kg ( 3years and 3 months old) Pls advice.

As mentioned by you sneezing followed by fever and then cough indicates an allergic reaction in the body.
Infection starts with fever while allergy starts with sneezing.
I usually prescribe monteluekast at 4 mg daily at night for a month for such babies to decrease allergic reaction.
Also enquire about allergy skin testing with your doctor to identify the trigger factors.
Once identified they can be avoided which will help her better.
If cough does not improve despite nebulisations you need to take her to your doctor. Nebulisations without oxygen will not help and is not recommended. It should be ideally given in a hospital with oxygen.
