Brief Answer:
Do tepid sponging, consult a pediatrician

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Crocin DS contains 250 mg of paracetamol. In pediatric age group medicines are given based on the weight.

The average weight if 7 year old child is around 22-25 kgs. The usual dose of paracetamol is 10-15 mg/kg/dose and a maximum of 60 mg/kg/day can be given. The dose of 19 ml is high for this weight.

I would suggest you to do tepid sponging along with this to bring down the temperature.

I would like to know if there is severe headache or body ache also. As this is a season of dengue I won't recommend other medicines for fever like Mefenamic Acid or Ibuprofen without proper evaluation.

Better consult a pediatrician for clinical evaluation and to assess the need of additional medicines for fever if needed.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Wishing for your child's good health.

Brief Answer:
10 ml is okay for her

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

10 ml of Crocin DS syrup is appropriate for her. Stomach ache can be due to gastritis (common in any infection) or may be a symptom of Dengue. I would like to know if you have visited any doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Please get back to me for any further help.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
You can give Cyclopam

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

It is good to know that fever has come down. Give paracetamol in same dose if temperature is rising. You can give Cyclopam for stomach ache. I would like to add some acid reducing agent like Ranitidine (syrup rantac) also to take care of gastritis which is the commonest cause.

The dose for her will be 5 ml twice a day and it can be given for 3-4 days based on symptom.

Hope I have answered your query.
