Suggest Treatment For Fever In Children

paracetamol, tepid sponging,fan therapy
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
In addition to the fenpaed, you can try acetaminophen (paracetamol).
It is in a different family of drugs than ibuprofen so the two of them can work together to help control the temperature.
Other aspects of fever management would include: (1)dressing cooling as possible- bundling up would keep the temperature elevated
(2)tepid sponging- sponging with room temp water would also help
(3)fan therapy
It would also be important to determine the source of the fever. In children, cough and cold is the most common.
This would normally be associated with symptoms such as nasal congestion, cough, sore throat, though in the early stages only a fever may be present.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

try tepid sponging first
Detailed Answer:
HI
You can consider doing the tepid sponging first. Typically the arms/legs for approx 5 mins each, the torso (each side) for 3 to 5 mins.
Check the temp every 15 minutes or so and continue the tepid sponging until it falls.
After she has dried up and redressed then you can recheck in 1/2 hour to 1 hour to see if it remains normal.
If it appears to be rising then you can try the fan therapy (if she is congested, it is possible the fan may affect this)
Use the fever meds as often as can be used
Please feel free to ask any thing else
