Brief Answer:
Continue giving paracetamol, monitor the temperature

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

I can understand your concern.
Fever with cough and cold in this age is commonly due to infection, viral is more common than bacterial.
Fever may be of high grade during initial 72 hours in any viral infection and then starts declining.
Giving paracetamol and tepid sponging helps in controlling the temperature.
Continue giving frequent feeds to keep him well hydrated.
You may put nasal saline drop like nadoclear in both the nostril to loosen up the mucus. You can put this 4-6 times a day. Putting saline drop particularly before feed helps in clearing the nostril and allows feed.
If cold is severe then giving syrup with combination of phenylephrine a decongestant and chlorpheniramine an antiallergic helps.
In most of the cases the symptoms improve after 3-4 days if it persists longer few blood tests may be needed to rule out bacterial infection.
In case you notice that fever is very high grade, not responding to medication/sponging and there is any breathing difficulty please consult your pediatrician immediately.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards
