Suggest Treatment For Flu Symptoms

A few suggestions for you
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Actually a flu can have many different sources (e.g. viral, bacterial, allergic) and so the treatment actually depends on the source, but I shall try to provide a regimen that should help make you feel better and suppress your symptoms. If at all your flu does not subside within about 5-7 days then please write back to me and I can add an antibiotic to the regimen.
Suggestions are:
+Steam inhalation 2-3 times a day
+Warm clothing
+Anti-histmaine (e.g. cetrizine, levocetrizine or montelukast): 2-3 times a day, either 8 hourly or 12 hourly
+Tylenol (2 tablets a day, 12 hour gap)
+Drink plenty of fluids
+Warm fluids, soups, etc.
+As much rest as possible
+Try to keep away from any allergens (e.g. dust, pollen, etc.)
+If your nose is blocked then nose spray or drops (e.g. NASIVION)
+Warm water with salt gargles or using syrups like betadine mouth wash or TANTUM mouth wash
I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you better, please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
