Suggest Treatment For Fracture Of Distal Fibula

Question: slipped and fell today. the urgent crae told me I have a nondipslaced comminuted fracture of the distal fibula. anskle appears maintianed. They told me it was broken in 5 spots. I am headed to an orthopedic tomorrow. What is the liklihood I will need surgery? What am I looking at for recovery?

Comminuted fracture will require surgery. Most likely they will put wires to fix the undisplaced fracture
Undisplaced fractures are relatively easy to treat than complicated fractures

Recovery is usually between 4 to 6 weeks. But you might not be able to exercise or do strenuous activities for a little longer than that
