Suggest Treatment For Gastritis Along With Muscle Pain
So I was talking with another doctor on here a while back about this but I have to ask about two items related to it, being that I didn't then.
I've been having chronic RUQ pain that came on over a year ago. I've been to a primary care doctor, GI specialist, and an ER, all who ran tests (MRI, CT, blood) and none of whom can figure out what is causing it.
It's an ache that occurs right under the right rib that often radiates to the side and/or back. It often comes on after eating fatty foods, but have been told that fatty liver doesn't cause this pain (its not entirely diet that causes it either). However one of the items I didn't mention is that today, for example, after eating a burger and fries, the RUQ went numb. I press on it for a bit and that oddly restores feeling. The other of the two is that I went for a run on Thursday (trying to lose weight), as well as an at home full body workout, and I've had a persistent pain on the right side and back since.
My fear of all this is being something terrible like cancer because nothing else can be pin-pointed. But I assume that cancer would show up on an abdominal MRI and CT yes?
Gastritis and muscular ache are two concerns.cancer is highly unlikely dear
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query with the photograph attached showing painful areas .
* This seems to be associated with gastritis as primary concern with muscular
ache as secondary concern after run or work out .
* Definitely not something terrible like cancer as MRI and CT must have been
reflected for the same along with symptoms are not consistent with it .
Kindly give me some details to answer your query completely .
1. Pain - type , duration , how relieved .
2. Associated vomiting , appetite alteration .
3. Bowel movements .
4. When are you totally pain free .
5. Abdominal ultrasound , upper GI scopy done .
Awaiting for your response .
Regards .
1) pain is under the right rib and radiates to the back at times; is relieved oddly by adding pressure, such as pressing my fingers into the RUQ.
2) no vomiting or appetite changes; I do get nauseous from time to time.
3) my bowel movements have been inconsistent (for years it seems); I had my gallbladder removed 12 years ago.
4) diet and exercise seem to be the only remedy to it.
5) have not had an endoscopy or colonoscopy done (doctors felt that the MTI and CT scans would show enough).
The odd thing about this side and back pain this exact time is that even though I went running, I'm only experiencing the aching on the right side, not the left at all. That's why I thought it was weird that running could aggravate whatever organ is causing this.
Details for suggestions explained thoroughly .

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Welcome .
* In my first conversation I have clearly kept the condition in my narration .
* I have already narrated this is in relation with 2 possibilities
1. RHQ pain in relation with certain food consumption is due to gastritis ,
from altered pH mechanisms of the stomach .
2. Back pain in relation to food intake is also from gastritis ,
that from the running is due to ligament stretch or sprain .
3. Numbness feeling is psychological only .
* Special note for most easy recovery
- Do not panic over very minor ache or discomfort , once you will follow this ;
ache will more easily leave you without medicines .
- Can have help of deep breathing exercises and YOGA for the same .
Wishing a healthy life ahead .
Thanks .
Regards .
