Brief Answer:
You need antidepressant and relaxation exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic. I, Dr Abhishek Kapoor, would help you in this query.

I think, you have generalized anxiety disorder with panic disorder. Let me explain it first. Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is an anxiety disorder that is characterized by excessive, uncontrollable and often irrational worry. This excessive worry often interferes with daily functioning, as individuals suffering GAD typically anticipate disaster, and are overly concerned about everyday matters such as health issues, money, death, family problems, friendship problems, interpersonal relationship problems, or work difficulties. Sometime, GAD also leads to panic attacks.

Same problem is in your case. In that case, you need continuous treatment with antidepressant. I would prefer paroxetine in your case. It is a very good antidepressant and has good response on anxiety disorder. You can also try some relaxation exercise like JPMR or deep breathing exercise. That would keep you calm and relax. Better to consult a psychiatrist for proper diagnosis and management.

In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Brief Answer:
It does not lead to heart attack

Detailed Answer:
HI

Panic attack is psychological disorder and it does not damage heart. Even if you are working out or doing any stuff and you can get panic attack, it would not lead to any damage on heart. So, there is nothing to worry about your heart. Panic attack could effect on your work or social life, so better to carry on with antidepressant. If you are getting benefit with sertraline, then carry on it and in case, you are still having anxiety symptoms, either increase the dose of sertraline or take another antidepressant like paroxetine. You can also try some relaxation exercise. That would help you in controlling anxiety symptoms.

In case, you have more query, you can ask.

Brief Answer:
You should consult psychologist

Detailed Answer:
HI

This is called panic disorder. Apprehension about further attacks is part of panic disorder. In that case, medicine and relaxation therapy would help. I think, you should consult a psychologist for cognitive behavioral therapy and relaxation exercise. Psychologist would teach you to use relaxation technique at time or before getting panic attacks.

In case, you have more query, you can ask.
