Suggest Treatment For Gout

Question: I have had the gout in my big toe quite a few times in the past year. It was treat with st.eroids. It did clear up but after about three weeks decided to return.I havefollowed the diet that my foot doctor da given me as best I can. My question is there a medication that I can take on a daily basis? I also have adema in my lower legs from bad veins.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Allopurinol tablet can be given daily to control the blood uric acid levels. Incidentally, reducing the blood levels automatically triggers dissolution from the uric acid stores and therefore the problem remains.

The edema seems to be due to unrelated causes. I would insist you to get your blood pressure checked. Also mention if you are on any blood pressure medicine. Based on that I will guide you further.
