
Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Cramps Post Fibroid Removal

Question: i had a d&c on july 9th to remove fibroids ..i started to bleed this pass monday as if wed the bleeding became a little heavier with cramping...my menstrual was not due til the 19th..could this be it? or bleeding from the d&c

thERE IS ALL POSSIBILITY THAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE irregular bleeding and shedding of endometrium from raw areas of fibroidectomy. This shall subside in weeks and can be controlled by use of anti-fibrinolytics like tranexamic acid 500mg thrice a day for 3-4 days.
If the bleeding lasts for 3-4 days and light , with reduction of flow in next 2 days, then it can be your early menses as well.
So you may at present wait and watch and if its heavy then you may opt for anti-fibrolytics available on prescription.
