Brief Answer:
Can be a bone injury.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the heel that you are having is likely to be due to plantar fasciitis or a heel spur. After the injury the inability to bear weight and acute pain can be due to a bone injury in the area.
It is best to take rest, avoid weight bearing on the foot and consult an orthopedician for an examination and X-ray of the foot. This will help in detecting the exact cause. Till then take a mild pain killer after meals and keep the foot elevated on two pillows.
I hope this answers your query.
