Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed as having hallux limitus and surgery has been suggested - I have also started to get pain in my heel which I think is plantar fasciitis (looked on internet and my toe problem can cause this!) now I am getting an occasional sharp pain in my groin seems worse when driving and moving in certain positions is this also caused by my toe problem or completely unrelated?
It is unlikely that the groin pain could come from plantar fasciitis and hallux limitus. This has to be investigated independently by X-rays and MRI. This will reveal any hip joint pathology which may have begun. It will be better to get yourself checked on this before any surgery. Also, labs for routine and certain other tests for inflammation of joints.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. George Verghese, Orthopedic Surgeon
