Suggest Treatment For Hematoma On Tibia
Question: I suffered a hematoma on my tibia about 2 weeks ago. It is painful to walk, move ankle. There is still a substantial knot on my shin. It now feels warmer than the rest of my leg and is slightly red ( along with the other colors of the bruise spectrum). I also have a general feeling of being unwell, a bit like one feels before coming down with the flu. (I am treated CVID, Addison's, Asthma , COPD, MS)
Does the warm feeling of the bruise, pain and redness warrant a visit to my Internist or my Infectious Disease physician?

Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query carefully and it looks to be a normal bruise going through the spectrum of changes. To confirm that please tell me-
1.Is the pain and swelling increasing with time or decreasing?
2.Is there any fever and pain more at night with difficulty in sleeping?
Looking forward to your reply.
Meanwhile avoid hot fomentation and do Ice fomentation, take ibuprofen along with trypsin/chymotrypsin ( prescription only drug) to reduce pain and swelling along with limb elevation
Take care
