Brief Answer:
Try Tegrital

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.

The pain you are suffering from is due to post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN). In PHN, the herpes virus damages the nerves in the skin.

Pregabalin is good, you can increase the dose slowly to a maximum of 300 mg per day. If still not better, or if there are side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness, you can start carbamazepine (tegrital) tablets.

I sincerely hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
