Suggest Treatment For High BP

Question: Yes--I was taken off Hctz 25mg. My B/P will not come down to what it was--Dr. said hctz was depleting my sodium level which was 130. Ok--He increased my losartan potassium to 50mg 2x daily. I wake up with pressure in my head and chest congestion with tightness. Please help me. And my blood pressure went up to 200/100.

Your BP is to high and it should be treated urgently. I recommend going to Emergency room for an urgent treatment.

If you were my patient I would probably continue with Hydroclorthiazide and will add salty food on your diet in order to improve sodium level.
