Brief Answer:
Suggested to take Losar at night as well

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

While controlling the blood pressure it is advisable to increase the dose of the existing drug rather than adding a new one. I recommend her to take plain losar 50 mg at night, this will definitely bring down her blood pressure. These are prescription medications of course, so any change in your dosage would have to be discussed with your primary doctor before you do it.
Please get her potassium and blood pressure levels after 7 days then again after 15 days, Losar tends to increase potassium.

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Brief Answer:
Cannot be taken twice

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for getting back, Losar H cannot be taken at night, 'h' part is a diuretic, it causes excess urination, if taken at night she will have disturbed sleep as she would have to urinate several times at night.

we went to the local doc. who said same but to take the meds both in the morning. the pressure has come down. but she feels dizzy. is that related to sudden pressure change.

Brief Answer:
Postural drop

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I prefer to split the drug to twice daily. Diziness is because of postural drop in blood pressure secondary to hydrocholorothiazide in the Losar H. I recommend that you lie on the floor and raise the leg end for 5 minuntes when this happens. Dosage has to be modified, revist your doctor for this.
