Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am
I have gone through the documents. Though the document states that DVT was unprovoked, I could see many factors in it.
1. High blood pressure or hypertension. especially diastolic BP is a risk factor for DVT (Risk Factors for Venous Thromboembolism Results From the Copenhagen City Heart Study. Circulation. 2010;121:1896-1903)
2. Prolonged air travel is a risk factor for DVT though the incidence decreases with duration but it may happen as long as 8 weeks or rarely more. Patient has history of air travel 2 months back.(http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/yellowbook/2016/the-pre-travel-consultation/deep-vein-thrombosis-pulmonary-embolism)
3. Inflammatory bowel disease, as has been mentioned in document named medical records may be a risk factor for DVT. (http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/deep-vein-thrombosis/basics/risk-factors/con-0000).
Please feel free to discuss further.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam
Hypertension is a risk factor i.e. it has been seen that DVT occurs more frequently in hypertensives than non-hypertensives. It can not be the sole the cause of DVT. Long air travel and age of the patient are stronger risk factors than hypertension. Inflammatory bowel disease may also be contributory.
Many a times DVT occurs without any cause.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
