Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure
Systemic Hypertension.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
If a female who was previously normotensive develops high BP during pregnancy we call it as Pregnancy induced Hypertension (PIH)
See a lot many females with PIH get back to normotensive state after delivery. Then they don't require any medicine. But if they continue to have high blood pressure after delivery we prescribe them medicines for BP control.
Now since you have developed high BP after delivery it is not PIH. We call it Systemic Hypertension. But at your age we should rule out other causes of Hypertension in young.
I would advise you to get:
1. Kidney function tests.
2. Fasting Lipid profile.
3. Fasting Blood sugar.
4. Urine examination
5. Ultrasound abdomen
6. Thyroid function tests.
If you have any other query feel free to ask me.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
At this high BP you should take the medicines properly as advised by your physician.
Here I would again emphasize on getting a Doppler of Renal Arteries and A kidney function test.
If they come out to be normal then we would treat you simply as a case of Primary Systemic Hypertensive.
I am emphasizing on investigations a lot because many times there are secondary causes of Hypertension.
If you have any further query please ask me.
