Dear Dr Modi,
Thanks so much. The BP reading taken yesterday was 140/110. I am now 55 years old. I have never in the past had issues of High BP. I undergo Comprehensive medical check-up every year, and have no medical history of BP, Hypertension or diabetics. I have not been on any medication so far.
The major symptom I have been experiencing now is mild to severe headache on the right & left temples for the last 10 days or more. But sleep is OK.
I have been having issues at work that have been disturbing me, but I am slowly recovering from that.
Request your expert guidance & recommendation.
Thank You

Brief Answer:
Consider 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
The pressure reading you have sent might be taken with a automatic machine , which tends to over estimate the lower diastolic reading .
However the headache you describe can be because of the higher blood pressure. So keep a tab on the same . take pressure at different times of the day and maintain a chart . If reading are persistantly higher consider starting a medication .
Alternatively consider getting a 24 hour ambulatory BP monitoring. If higher reading consider medication .
Decrease salt in your diet. Avoid stress as that itself can cause increase in blood pressure.
Let me know how things are and would guide you further .
