Suggest Treatment For Hopper Ant Bite

Question: Hi Dr,
I Think I was bitten by a hopper ant a few days ago in the vagina area. Its embarrassing and quite pain full as there is swelling and hardening of the the area on one side of the vagina.
I purchased a packet of anti-histamine tablets 24hr Fexit 180.
Is there a cream or something I can purchase from the pharmacy to help reduce the swelling ?
Thanks

Please provide the requested photo...
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
I have gone through your medical history and feel sorry for the situation you are in.
A picture of the swollen vagina is recommended to exclude any bacterial co-infection which might need specific treatment.
Meanwhile, I suggest to:
- apply cold compresses to the swollen vagina
- take anti-histamines daily
- apply hydrocortisone or beclomethasone topical cream on the swollen vagina twice daily
- look out for signs of anaphylaxis (allergic reaction). If you notice, should go to ER as soon as possible.
Looking forward to have the requested photo in!
Thank you! Wishing fast recovery!
