Brief Answer:
lost of taste

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you have lost your sense of taste. Unfortunately this is a common problem. The lost of taste could be due to a stroke of ischemia to the taste centers in the brain. Sometimes the taste centers along with smell will just stop working. Unfortunately there is no treatment for the problem.

I do recommend that you see a neurologist though as they may find some rare cause to lose of taste. You may need an MRI to rule our stroke or other cause.

In summary
1. loss of taste and smell common
2. Possible stroke
3. no treatment
4. See Neurologist for evaluation
