Suggest Treatment For Inappropriate Laughter, Self Talking, Unresponsive Spells And Suspiciousness
Question: my wife suffers from some kind of mental illness. She some times laughs alone. She some time stay iresponsive to questions. She sits and think for long time and some times she goes in to thinking during activities and also she thinks some one is try to spoil her life.
She takes Olimet 5mg for 30 days then 2.5mg for another 30 days and 1.25mg for another 30 days and stops it. If any of the symptoms starts her parents starts the medicine course,this process is repeating for past five years. what kind of illnees is this. Please help me, I am only recently married I didnt know much about her illness. Is it curable.

I can understand your concern. To make diagnosis detailed history and evaluation needed. But her symptoms like inappropriate laughter, self talking or muttering, unresponsive spells sometimes and feeling that someone is trying to spoil her life or suspiciousness etc are symptoms of Psychosis most likely Schizophrenia.
She was given Olanzapine which is an antipsychotic drug. So most likely diagnosis bases upon history you provided is some psychotic episode most probably Schizophrenia.
