Suggest Treatment For Infection In Throglossal Cyst
Question: hello doctor,
my daughter 8.5 yes old developed infection in her throglossal cyst. today there is some puss coming out. is this something to worry about? she is not complaining about any pain in throat but has itching around the infected area. attached the photo and report.
please advise.

she was given ceftum for 7 days. currently on cetzine 5mg every night. unable to attach the photo and shall try it again.

Hello sir, I have seen the attached reports and she needs ceftum course for another 5 days and a local ointment t-bact over the affected area twice a day for at least 5 days.
No need to give cetrizine and rather give her tablet paracetamol 250 mg thrice a day along with serratiopeptidase tablet thrice a day.
Its better to consult your doctor after completion of the course and consider surgical removal because otherwise it is a recurrent problem and will keep on bothering her.
