Question: I think I have an inflamed gluteal nerve or possibly sciatic nerve. The pain when I am up moving around gets worse and worse. When I sit I am fine, but it is hard to get back up. And when I sleep the pain can be downright awful. It keeps me from sleeping very well.
Brief Answer:
Strong possibility of Sciatica

Hello Mam,
Thank you so much for writing in Healthcare Magic!
I understand your concern and feel sorry for the pain you are going through.There are strong chances of you having Sciatica which could be due to;
narrowing of the spinal canal in the lower back,
breakdown of discs, which act as cushions between the vertebrae,
a condition in which one vertebra slips forward over another one.
I would advise you to see a physician and get an MRI spine to rule out any spinal disorders leading to nerve compression.Steroid injection,physiotherapy and surgery will help.
Hope I have answered your query.Feel free to ask more.
