Suggest Treatment For Insomnia While Having Anxiety And Depression

Posted on Thu, 2 Mar 2017
Question: I am 34 yr old female, I suffer from anxiety and depression. I have been sick since the fall with various flus and infections, have been having very poor circulation in my hands and feet, as well as purple blotches in my legs, I continue to wake up with the sweats, and have been excessively tired and sleeping excessivily as well, which is causing me regular nitemares, when usually I suffer from insomnia. my eating habits have been disrupted by upset stomach the last couple of months as well. Also my vision seems to be blurry a lot. I had a recent colonoscopy and all was fine. I've also had various blood work done and everything seems to be ok but I still don't feel myself. I recently took a pregnancy test which came back negative. I am getting worried something is being missed and there's another reason I am not getting better and can't stay healthy.

Brief Answer:
I think there is nothing seriously wrong with you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I think there is nothing seriously wrong with you. Maybe a little constitutional problem. I will advise you the following.

Start some kind of regular exercise.

Take a multivitamin, multimineral supplement.

Take an acid suppressant and OTC digestive.

Make sure you eat a balanced diet.

No harm in taking a drug for anxiety like alprazolam for a fortnight or so.

If you still feel unwell after a month, then it'll be better to go back to your doctor for further investigations to rule out any auto immune problem.

Regards, and wish you the best.
